A George I oak six plank coffer with carved panelled front and superb original patina c.1710. Hand sawn heavy six plank construction with moulded frame three panel front and arcaded carved top rail with original engraved brass escutcheon. Cut outs to the sides forming part of the foot with single plank side and hinged top. The top opening to reveal a clean interior with removeable candle tray to the side. Superb rich colour and original patina, presented in excellent condition. Measures 38" wide x 15" deep x 25" high. Stock number 41746.
