A George I period figured walnut fall front bureau with superb fitted interior and wonderful original patina c.1725. Figured walnut book matched veneered exterior with crossbanded edges to the top, fall front and the drawers. The fall front opening to reveal a superb original fitted interior with cupboard, drawers and pigeon holes to the rear and well to the surface sat behind a sliding cover. Concealed drawers sat behind the rear of the centre cupboard and two compartments behind the pilasters sat either side of the cupboard; leathered writing surface to the fall front. The front of the bu...reau with two small drawers either side of the top forming the sleepers to support the writing surface, two over two drawer formation below. Moulded plinth to the base with original bracket feet below; original top quality brass fittings throughout. Superb original colour and rich patina, presented in excellent original condition throughout.
