A George I period figured walnut chest on stand with herringbone crossbanding c.1725. Moulded cornice sat over a three short drawer over three long drawer formation. Book matched figured walnut veneers to the drawers with herringbone crossbanded edges. Sat on the original stand with three drawers, shaped apron below. Moulded cabriole legs to the front with matching legs set to the rear. Decorative brass handles and matching escutcheons, superb colour and polish. Measures 66" high x 42" wide at the cornice x 23" max depth. Stock number 37591.
