George II Livesey of Bolton Longcase Clock

A George II oak longcase clock by John Livesey of Bolton with superb engraved 'Penny Moon' phases dial and 8 day movement, fully restored and working c.1745. The quality figured oak case with quarter sawn crossbanding throughout, broad cornice to the hood with carved freeze below. Slender columns sat either side of the glazed hood door with original glass. Long slender trunk with shaped top to the door, original lock escutcheon and working lock with key.
