A George II period oak close stool coffer with faux drawers to the front c.1730. Planked top to the framed lid with moulding forming a cornice. Moulded front forming the appearance of a chest of drawers. Moulded apron to the base with turned bun feet below. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior, brass fittings to the front and carry handles to the sides. Original colour and rich patina, presented in superb condition. Measures 20" wide x 16" deep x 19" high. Stock number 38975.
