A superb George II period oak joint stool with wonderful colour and original patina c.1740. Single piece top with moulded edge overlapping the moulded top rail, four slender turned legs set to the corners at a slightly splayed angle. Moulded stretches to the base, pegged joints throughout and interesting old hand written ownership label to the underside of the seat. Superb original colour and patina throughout, old with expected wear and chip to one seat corner, showing honesty and originality. Presented in superb original condition.
