An Original George III oak and mahogany cross banded 8 Day longcase clock.c.1765. Brass and silvered engraved centre dial with gilt spandrels to the corners. Date aperture and seconds count. Made by Hampson of Warrington. Fine oak and mahogany crossbanded case with reeded columns and shaped top case door.. Moulded cornice hood with gilt mounted columns. Raised panel to the bracket feet base. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Fully overhauled. Small proportions for an 8 Day clock,stands 81"high. Stock no.25377.
