A superb George III period oak planked top 8 seat refectory table with turned bulbous legs and H base stretcher c.1760. The thick planked top with cleated end top overlapping the base to allow seating at each end. The table surface sat on a moulded edge carved top rail, which has bulbous turned and carved 'cup & cover' legs set to each corner; all supported by an H base stretcher. Superb rich colour and polish throughout, the table seats 3 to 4 people each side and 1 at each end with ease and with ample knee room. Measures... 102.5" long x 32.5" wide x 29.75" high x 24" knee height under the top rail. Stock number 43245.
