A fine quality George III period mahogany framed Gainsborough chair with superb deep buttoned leather upholstery c.1810. Swept arched top to the deep buttoned back, arms set to each side with moulded ends and carved floral design mounts to the sides. Dished seat sat over straight front legs with moulded corners, splayed legs to the rear, supported by a base stretcher; sat on the original small brass castors. The later golden brown quality hide upholstery in superb little used condition with a rich patina. Presented in superb original condition with a good even colour and patina.
