George III Mahogany West London Stick Barometer

A fine quality George III period mahogany stick barometer with cushion top pediment and silver scale by West of London c.1810. The slim proportioned solid mahogany case with cushion moulded top forming a pediment, slim trunk with figured timbers and moulded edge; turned onion shaped cistern cover to the base. Silvered barometer scale with vernier marker and thermometer set to the side, bears the makers name West, Charing Cross, London.
