A George III period solid oak double width joint stool with decorative carved top rail c.1770. Single plank top with superb colour and patination, sat over a carved top rail with interlocking ring design decoration. Twin scroll design corbels to the underside and matching decoration to the ends. Turned splayed legs to the corners supported by a moulded base rail to the sides and turned rail to each side. Superb colour and original patina, very sturdy and useable. Measures 28" wide x 9.5" deep at the seat surface x 13" deep at the foot x 19" high. Stock number 43150.
