A stylish George III period Irish red walnut side chair c.1760. The shaped back with original horse hair upholstery, matching overstuffed sprung seat base reupholstered to a high standard in damask fabric. Sat on four superbly carved red walnut cabriole legs with lion masks to the tops and hairy paw feet, matching cabriole legs to the rear. A fine quality and substantial period chair presented in excellent original condition, newly upholstered to a high standard. Measures 23" wide x 21" deep x 40" high to top of chair back x 19" seat height. Stock number 38702.
