A fine quality George V period solid silver engine turned match case holder, hallmarked Birmingham 1925. Engine turned finish to both sides, with shaped outer edge rolling over the rear section to form a snap catch. Ribbed engine turned front with blank (unengraved) circular cartouche to the centre. Curved ends with curled lip for ease of opening. Opens to reveal a gilt interior with shaped lip forming a holder for the card of matches. The back with matching ribbed engraving to the front. Bears the makers mark for William Neale. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Mea...sures 2.25" long x 1.75" wide. Stock number 37700.
