George V Silver Clam Shell Sovereign Case

A George V period solid silver clam shell design sovereign case, hallmarked Birmingham 1916. Double sided design with hanging loop to the top and button release to open. Opens to reveal an engine turned sprung loaded sovereign holder and a gilt lined lid. Bears the makers mark for Horace Woodward. Superb condition. Measures 1.25" diameter x 0.5" deep. Stock number 34123.
