George V Spring Opening Envelope Card Case

An unusual George V Silver spring action envelope design card case, hallmarked Birmingham 1914. The slim oblong solid silver case with v design top section forming the lid giving the appearance of an envelope. The hinged lid opening upwards with a spring action, the hinge placed half an inch down on the rear of the case to allow full access to the contents. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Sydney & Co along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate condition.
