A fine quality Georgian period engraved strainer with embossed, pierced and gilded well, hallmarked Edinburgh 1826. The long slightly curved handle with superb quality engraving to both sides, the well of the strainer with frilled edge and fruit design embossed decoration, small pierced holes for straining the fruit and immaculate gilded finish. Bears the makers mark for Edinburgh silversmith William Cripps along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate unused condition. Measures 5.75" long overall x 1.75" diameter x 0.5" deep at the well. Stock number 41472.
