A superb George III period mahogany serpentine fronted Irish card table with pocketed interior c.1760. Figured timber top with serpentine edge sat over a deep matching shape apron with false drawer, shell carved decorative mould to the centre and dummy lock escutcheon, typical of an Irish example. Pad feet to the corners with moulded mounts to the tops. The rear leg opening with gate action and the top opening and folding over to form a baized gaming surface. Polished panels to the corners and counter cups for each player recessed in the surface. Original colour and rich patina, very original ...condition throughout.
