A fine quality large George III period turned mahogany country house stick stand, in the manner of Gillow, with removable metal liner c.1820. Solid figured mahogany construction slightly flared towards the top. Turned base with four splayed and turned feet below, substantial turned flat back rails to the centre section with ring turned top band. Removable black steel liner set to the inside. Presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and polish. Could also be used as a jardiniere. Measures14.5" diameter at the top x 21" high. Stock number 41760.
