A primitive George III hand formed three legged stool with wonderful colour and patina c.1750. The hand sawn seat cut from a single piece of figured ash with clipped corners and well worn edges. The hand turned legs with chisel ridges running down each and the joints showing through the top of the seat. Splayed legs for sturdiness; the underside of the seat showing saw marks and owners initials A x M. Ideal as a stool or as an occasional table, very sturdy and usable with a rich colour and wonderful original patina. Measures 15.5" wide x 8.5" deep x 16.5" high.
