A pair of George III period engraved silver sugar tongs with desirable acorn tips by highly regarded and collectable makers Hester Bateman c.1790. The solid silver tongs with fine quality engraved border and scroll design decoration to the shoulders, along with the owners initials to the top edge. The nips of the tongs formed in desirable acorn design. Bears the makers mark for collected London maker Hester Bateman along with clear silver marks without date cypher. Presented in excellent unworn condition.
