A fine quality George III period embossed and chased silver tankard, hallmarked London 1779. Bellied base and flared rim embossed and engraved in the Rococo style with blank cartouche to the front. Scroll design handle set to the side with hand chased decoration and flared foot to the base with decoration to match. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith and tankard maker William Cripps along with clear hallmarks. Heavy quality and presented in excellent condition.
