A fine quality George III period silver two piece wine funnel by highly regarded and collected maker Peter & Ann Bateman in mint condition, hallmarked London 1798. The bowl with pierced base to the interior to hold debris, reeded rim to the top with tab to the outer edge. The matching spout with reeded decoration to the top to match the upper section. The spout end with directional bend with 'v' cut edge to help the flow of liquid. Matching hallmarks to both sections along with the makers mark for London silversmiths Peter & Ann Bateman. Presented in immaculate unused condition... with a deep shine. Measures 3.75" diameter at the bowl rim x 5" long overall. Stock number 41144.
