An immaculate early Victorian brass bound burr walnut tantalus box with original fitted interior, cut crystal decanters and matching silver labels, hallmarked London 1856. The burr walnut box with brass reinforced corners and edges, inset campaign style handles to the sides and engraved country house crest to the top. The box opening with Bramah lock and key to reveal an immaculate original fitted interior with olive green velvet lining and divisions to hold four decanters. The four original matching crystal decanters with faceted tops and corners, plus matching decoration to the stoppers. ...Original solid silver decanter label to each, with the labels bearing the makers mark for Charles Rawlings & William Summers along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate condition with rich colour and original patina to the box, perfect crystalware and silver labels along with a working lock and original key. Box measures 8.75" wide x 8.75" deep x 10" high. Decanters measure 3.5" square x 9" high (pint capacity). Stock number 41755.
