An immaculate Victorian solid silver and mother of pearl fruit knife and case, hallmarked Birmingham 1882. Carved decorative mother of pearl handle with silver cartouche to the face side, the sides with engine turned silver fillet. Engraved grape and vine design on the solid silver blade with matching mount folding into the handle with a snap action. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silver knife makers Thomas Marples and presented in immaculate unused condition along with the original leather cloth case. Measures open 5.25" long x 0.5" wide x 0.25" deep. When closed... the item is 3.25" long. Stock number 39408.
