James II Geometric Moulded Three Drawer Dresser
A superb James II period oak three drawer dresser with geometric moulded drawer faces and a wonderful colour c.1685. Planked top sat over a moulded under edge, three drawers below with geometric moulded decoration and the centres with figured timber, moulding below repeating the design of the upper moulding. All sat on substantial turned legs fretted mouldings either side; broad flat legs to the rear with base strecherto each side. Period brass axe drop brass fittings with complementing lock escutcheons. Superb original mellow colour and rich patina.
