A stylish James II period oak wide proportioned side table with long single drawer and stretchered base c.1680. Planked top with moulded edge overlapping at the sides. Long moulded front drawer sat below the surface, moulded top rails in typical early style to the sides. Turned legs to the corners supported by a moulded front base stretcher, pegged joints throughout. An unusual wide proportioned piece ideal as a console or as an alternative to a dresser, with superb original deep colour and patina, presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine.
