A large and superbly detailed Edwardian solid silver barrel shaped money box, hallmarked Birmingham 1902. The solid silver box in the form of an oak barrel with the sides engraved to represent planks, the upper third forming a hinged lid with slot to the top for putting the money in. Clasp to the front with loop for a padlock, the hinged lid opening to reveal a blue velvet lined interior. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Saunders & Shepherd along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Superb quality and presented in immaculate unused condition.
