Large Pair of Fine Quality George III Dublin Silver Sugar Tongs
A large pair of fine quality George III Dublin silver sugar tongs with embossed and engraved floral decoration, hallmarked Dublin 1801. The large tongs with spoon shaped nips to the ends, which are engraved with acanthus leaf design decoration. Narrow stems and loop shaped top; the top section hand engraved and embossed with floral decoration. Cartouche to the top with engraved initials, plus bears the makers mark for Dublin silversmiths and flatware maker Charles Marsh along with excellent clear hallmarks. Probably one of the finest pairs of tongs available, presented in immaculate unused ...condition.
