A fine quality 11' by 7'  Persian pure wool Saroq rug from North West Persia, newly cleaned ready for use c.1920. Hand knotted with close short pile, champagne cream medallion to the centre with interlocking geometric floral design, plus secondary matching medallion surrounding it with red background and matching decoration.  The centre of the rug with dark navy background decorated in soft reds, blues, pinks and creams. Large champagne cream infills to the outer edges of the central design to match the central medallion. Broad border to the outer edge set against a soft red background with geometric floral design decoration in tones to complement the rug central pattern. Presented in excellent condition with some age related signs of use, stain free and newly cleaned ready for use. Measures 11' long x 7' wide. Stock number 42754.
