Large Superb Victorian Burr Walnut Octagonal Coffee Table
A superb quality large Victorian octagonal burr walnut coffee table with barley twist legs to the undercarriage c.1880. The octagonal top with choice cut burr veneers, banded with kingwood to the inner edge and moulded to the outer edge. Sat on a decorative undercarriage with four barley twist columns running to the platform foot. The foot with inverted bowed sides and book matched veneers to the surface, finial sat on round platform to the centre. Shallow bun feet to the corners of the underside with small concealed brass castors. Superbly made throughout with the veneers set on a solid wa...lnut framework, presented in excellent condition with a rich even colour and polish.
