A large Victorian oak ships barometer made by S. Raw of Whitby, fully serviced and working c.1885. The solid turned and carved oak case with rope twist design border. Porcelain dial with weather predictions around the outer edge and makers name to the centre, all sat behind bevelled edge glass, which is mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. The aneroid movement is fully serviced and working and presented in superb condition with a rich polish to the case. Measures 10.5" diameter x 11.5" high including hanging loop x ...3" deep.
