A large Victorian golden figured oak cased aneroid barometer c.1880. The deep turned solid golden oak case with figured timbers and ring turned edge, hanging loop to the top. Aneroid movement sat behind a white porcelain dial bearing the weather predictions in red and black ornate lettering. The dial sat behind a glazed view window mounted in a polished brass bezel with centre reading marker. Superb quality and original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 11" diameter overall with a 6" diameter dial x 3" deep. Stock number 40680.
