Late Victorian Gainsborough Chair with Original Leather Upholstery
A fine quality George III style mahogany framed Gainsborough chair with superb original deep buttoned leather upholstery c.1900. Swept arched top to the deep buttoned back, arms set to each side with moulded mahogany arm supports. Deep buttoned seat sat over straight front legs with moulded corners, splayed legs to the rear, all supported by a base stretcher. The original golden brown quality hide upholstery in superb condition with a rich patina. This chair is presented in superb original condition with a good even colour and patina. Measures 28" wide x 27" deep x 40.5"... high to top of chair back x 19" seat height. Stock number 42814.
