A heavy quality George VI solid silver tea strainer and matching bowl, hallmarked Sheffield 1940. Simple dished bowl stood on a flared foot, the matching strainer sitting snugly into the bowl. The strainer with pierced bowl for straining the tea and decorative fretted handles either side for sitting on a tea cup. Bears the makers mark for Sheffield silversmiths Mapin & Webb along with clear matching hallmarks to both sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.75" diameter x 4.75" wide including handles x 1.75" high. Stock number 40925.
