A very unusual Edwardian biscuit cabinet made for Marsh & Co biscuits of Belfast in superb original condition c.1910. White veined marble top with dental moulding below, superb original reverse decorated gilded and painted glass panel advertising Marsh & Co's biscuits. Three angled compartments for originally displaying tins of biscuits, each with hinged glazed doors to the front. The shaped uprights to each side with moulded foot and brass carry handles. Original scrumbled painted finish to the woodwork and patinated green painted interior. Marsh & Co were a well known Belfast ...manufacturers of biscuits in the late 19th and early C.20th and based in Donegall Street, the former factory today is shops and offices. A superb statement piece with many uses including a bookcase, feature kitchen storage or shoe cabinet. Presented in excellent original condition. Measures 42" wide x 49.5" high x 14.5" deep.
