A Mid Georgian period oak 'cottage' longcase clock made by highly regarded clock maker, Jeremiah Standring of Bolton.c.1760. Brass dial with engraved centre and gilt spandrels to the corners of the thirty hour movement. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Shaped case door flanked by quarter columns. Moulded cornice to the hood with matching pillars. Full working order. Superb rich colour and patina. Stands only 74.5"high. Stock no.31886.
