Moorcroft Big Poppy Vase
An immaculate Moorcroft big poppy design vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1919. The vase with wide shouldered top and narrow rolled neck. The body of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined big poppies painted with the earlier and desirable rust coloured flower heads. The flowers complemented by ochre coloured leaves and stems, which are set against a dark blue washed ground with the clay showing through. Signed William Moorcroft to the base in blue along with the Moorcroft factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture c.1919. Presented in immaculate... unrestored condition with no damage or repairs.
