Early Moorcroft Cornflower Vase
A superb early Moorcroft cornflower pattern vase in mint condition and signed William Moorcroft and dated 1913. The tall vase with flared rim and narrow waist running down to a slightly flared foot, the sides of the vase are decorated with panels of tube lined cornflowers set against a leafy backdrop, complimenting decoration to the inside of the rim. Ochre tones to the background with the flowers painted in vibrant terracotta reds and dark blues. Signed William Moorcroft to the base and dated 1913 by hand indicaing a very early pre factory impression piece. Superbly potted and presented in... perfect unrestored condition
