Moorcroft Pomegranate on Ochre Clay Shallow Bowl
A small Moorcroft Pomegranate on ochre ground bowl signed William Moorcroft c.1919. The shallow bowl decorated to the interior with a continuous band of tube lined pomegranates set amongst leaves with berries either side, some of the fruits open and showing the seeds. The background painted in desirable ochre tones with blue over wash, the pomegranates decorated in rich Autumn reds. Signed in full to the base by William Moorcroft in blue along with factory impressions indicating a year of manufacture c.1919. Presented in perfect condition with no restoration or scratches
