A very collectable mid Victorian RNLI fisherman's marine barometer made by highly regarded maker, Negretti & Zambra of London c.1880. Patinated steel case with polished cast brass bezel and bevelled edge glass with central reading marker. Enamelled dial with 'Royal National Lifeboat Institute', early issue number 702 and the maker's name to the base. Along with Fisherman's Barometer in an arch to the upper half half. Rapid indicating aneroid movement behind in full working order. Presented in excellent original condition and full working order. Measures 6" diameter x 2.25" deep. Stock number... 36271.
