A superb Georgian oak style pedestal desk with original brassware and leather writing surface c.1920. Superbly constructed with solid oak timbers throughout. Patinated tooled green leather writing surface with polished oak edge, dental moulding below running continuously around the desk. Three drawers below the surface with moulded frames, matching drawers to each pedestal; the middle two drawers with geometric moulding forming a panel. Split panel sides with matching panels to the knee hole; polished panelled back for free standing. Moulded base rail to all sides, with ...the stiles forming small feet. Original brass axe drop fittings and working locks with key. Superb detail and quality throughout and presented in superb condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 48" wide x 24" deep x 30" high with knee hole 20" wide x 24" high. Stock number 41020.
