A Victorian solid oak cased banjo barometer with porcelain dial, fully serviced and working c.1885. The elegant proportioned case with carved leaf decoration to the shaped top, complemented by carving to the centre plus a matching carved crest to the base. The circular porcelain dial, set behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. Matching scale to the original mercury action thermometer sat to the top half of the case.
