An original early 20th century bronze 'Garçonnet au porte-diner' by Spanish sculptor José Cardona (1878 - 1923). Classic example of the artists work, depicting a young boy with a lunch carrier, excellent detail throughout. Signed to the base J Cardona, superb original rich colour and patination throughout, presented in superb condition. Measures 4.5" wide x 3.25" deep at the base x 11" high. Stock number 41705.
About the Artist - José Cardona was a sculptor from Catalan who studied at the school of Fine Arts of La Lonja, Barcelona. He is noted... as working in Barcelona, Paris, Argentina and Madrid throughout his career. As well as creating sculptures, he painted portraits of people.
