A fine quality original oil on canvas depicting hens in a farm yard setting by highly regarded Edgar Hunt 1867 - 1953. Painted in meticulous detail, typical of the artist and his subject, with three hens feeding off a cabbage fallen from a basket. Superb colours throughout and side by the artist to the bottom left. Edgar Hunt exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists and the Waljer Art Gallery in Liverpool. This work sat in a quality swept gilt frame, the painting in excellent undamaged clean condition.
