An outstanding quality George III solid figured mahogany Chippendale period chest of drawers with original brassware and polish c.1760. Solid figured mahogany top with moulded edge, deep blind fretwork band below to the front and sides. Two over three drawer formation, each with figured timbers, cock beaded edges and original brass fittings along with complimenting escutcheons. The drawers flanked by reeded quarter columns, inset at the bases with chequered stringing and sat on blind fretwork mounts. Moulded plinth to the base with original ogee bracket feet below.
