An Outstanding 19th Century flame mahogany 8 Day Chippendale revival longcase clock.c.1880. Brass and silvered dial with a hand painted Japanese scene to the arched top. Striking on the quarters, Westminster chimes. Made by Joseph Schofield of Rochdale. Fine case with Gothic style shaped top to the case door flanked by Pugin style columns to the sides. Swan neck pediment to the hood and fretwork panels to the sides. Brick work decoration to the canted corner base. Superbly detailed cabinet made case. Full working order. Small proportions measuring 17"wide x 87"high.
