An outstanding George II period oak coffer bach with fielded panels and three drawers C.1740. Moulded edge to the hinged lid sat over a triple arched top fielded panel front with three small drawers below. Sat on a moulded plinth with original bracket feet and central under apron. Decorative fruitwood chequered bands to either side of the front. Solid sides and planked back with original unpolished finish. Opens to reveal a clean interior. Original brassware and superb colour and original rich patina. Superb quality, choice timbers and original detail throughout. Measures 30" wide x 14" deep ...x 19" high. Stock number 36551.
