A matching pair of superb quality late Victorian figured walnut serpentine fronted open bookcases in George I style c.1900. Each bookcase with book matched figured walnut veneers to the top and mouded crossbanded edges. Matching veneers and banding to the sides and pilasters, which are sat either side of the open front. Moulded plinths to the bases with swept apron to the centres. The interior of each with boarded back and single height adjustable shelf, plus figured veneers to the surface of the base. A difficult to find matching pair, both superbly made and presented in immaculate fu...lly restored condition. Each measures 45" long x 10" deep x 30.5" high x 8" internal book depth.
