Pair of Victorian Brass Griffin Fire Dogs
A pair of superbly detailed Victorian cast brass Griffin fire dogs with claw foot upstand c.1880. Each cast solid brass fire dog with a heavy plinth foot, which has decoration to the front. Griffin sat on top, one facing left and the other right, both with superb matching detail throughout and with rings hanging from their mouths. Both with claw footed upstand to the rear, for laying the fire irons on if desired. Top quality and presented in immaculate condition with a rich polish.
