Pair of Victorian Walnut Marble Topped Bedside Chests
A matching pair of Victorian walnut 5 drawer bedside chests with inset marble tops c.1880. Each chest with inset white veined marble top which is sat over five graduated drawers, the top drawer with moulded vertical decoration and the four lower drawers with quartered veneers and moulded edges. Reeded pilasters sat either side with acanthus leaf decoration to the bases and floral moulded to to the top. Moulded base rail with original turned bun feet below. The sides with quartered veneers to match the drawers. Both presented in excellent with a rich colour and patina, minor stress hairlines... to the marble as to be expected with original marble.
